The Three Summits of Mt Rainier
On the drive home, we passed this fine view of Mount Rainier from the west along Highway 161 south of Puyallup. Clearly distinct in this view are the three 14000 ft summits of Mount Rainier. From left to right we see Liberty Cap, Columbia Crest (the true summit), and Point Success, with the massive Tahoma Glacier flowing from the summit dome down the west face.
(I had run out of film on this trip. This photo was taken previously on 6/28/98.)
