This map shows our climbing and skiing route, with color coding corresponding to our mode of travel (scale shown in miles). Red sections were hiked on foot both ways, while blue portions between 5600 feet and Camp Schurman at 9460 feet were skied on both ascent and descent. The purple section above Schurman was climbed on foot with crampons, but descended on skis. We planned to reach Camp Schurman the first day, then leave early for the summit on the second day and ski back down to camp by evening. The final ski and hike out from the camp to the trailhead was planned for the morning of the third day.
