The strong wind on the dome convinced us not to linger or ski over to the distant, 20 ft higher true summit (Grant Peak), visible several hundred yards to the rear as Alex celebrates. We had skied over to the true summit two years earlier during our ski trip on the Easton Glacier, so this time we decided to head down as soon as possible.
