Map of Thielsen Ski Route
Since we didn't anticipate the climb would take all day, we decided to drive around the north end of Diamond Lake and take some more photos. This view looks back east at Thielsen from the western shore of the lake. The north face of the summit spire is clearly overhanging, while the southwest face (seen edge-on at right) is about 35-40 degrees and perfect for skiing.
