The Black Buttes and Deming Glacier Alex Inverted Camp at 5900 ft Skiing Past Seracs Sherman Peak Sherman Crater Panorama Climbing Towards the Summit Crevasses on the Easton Skiing Down the Glacier Deming Glacier Panorama Heading Home

We skied down to our camp, packed up, and then decided to see how far we could ski before the snow ran out. Although we had to ski across a couple of small patches of heather, we made it down to a marshy area west of the Railroad Grade at 4900 ft, a continuous ski descent of 5900 vertical feet from the summit (in August!). From there we hiked back to the trailhead, catching a final view of the summit as we crossed the outlet stream of the Easton Glacier.
