Well, after five straight days of big-vertical climbing and skiing, I was exhausted. The thought of climbing 500 more vertical feet of loose rock and scree was thouroughly unappealing. Not wanting to risk injury and hoping to re-energize for the ski descent, I decided to rest at the high point of the snow, while Alex and George made a dash for the summit. Here Alex is seen on the ridge just below the summit pinnacle. The view looks south, with Mount Scott at right in the distance.
