We skied down alongside the Inter Fork, crossing a few small snow bridges which had melted greatly since our ascent, and certainly would have been hazardous now on foot. This spot was the end of the line for skiing, back at the same stream crossing at 5600 ft where we had started skiing uphill. Our run from the summit had totaled nearly 9000 vertical feet. We reluctantly put the skis back on our packs and headed down the trail, reaching the car at a brisk pace in about an hour.
