The rest of the ski down was uneventful. The snow was turning a bit slushy, so I rushed down ahead of the group hoping to catch a few more lift served runs on the firmer groomed slopes. I managed to get in three more runs before my will finally gave out. The new Palmer lift, a high-speed quad, is quite interesting. The upper station (shown here) is inside a building which is nearly buried by over 30 feet (10 m) of snowpack, despite the fact that this was a fairly average snow year. The lift towers (not shown) are pretty cool too, they are massive tripod structures instead of the standard single pole.
