From near 7000 ft this panorama shows the upper portion of the Coleman Glacier, with the active, heavily crevassed region at left. Again we see the summit of Mount Baker, separated from Colfax Peak by the 9000 ft Coleman-Deming saddle. The climbing route is faintly visible heading toward this saddle, staying right of the heavily crevassed areas. At far right are the upper ice cliffs of the Thunder Glacier and Lincoln Peak (9080 ft), second tallest of the Black Buttes.
